Brand voice and policies
How you sound, what never to say, FAQs, and policies.
You are here: Knowledge, then Brand voice and policies
Brand profile already has tone and style. This area is the longer version: voice in sentences, plus rules the AI must not break.
Fields
Examples use Northstar Coffee, a fictional roaster. Copy the shape, not the facts.
| Field | What to add | Example | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brand voice | How you talk on a good day. A few sentences. | Friendly and direct. We talk like a knowledgeable friend, not a corporate brochure. We name the roast and the farm when we can. | This is the strongest lever for “this sounds like us.” |
| Do's and don'ts | Always and never, in copy. | Do: short sentences, name a benefit. Don't: call anything revolutionary. Don't invent discount numbers. | The model will try to please you. Tell it the fences. |
| FAQ question | Something people actually ask. | Do you ship outside Pune? | Education posts and comment-style captions can reuse real answers. |
| FAQ answer | The answer you stand behind. | Yes. We ship across India. Orders roast after you pay, so allow 2–4 days. | Wrong FAQs get published as facts. Only add answers you would send a customer. |
| Policy name | Refund, shipping, privacy, whatever you need the AI to know. | Returns | Keeps “we’ll make it right” posts honest. |
| Policy summary | The public version, not the legal PDF. | Unopened bags within 7 days. We replace a bad roast. We do not refund opened beans unless the roast is wrong. | The AI should not promise refunds you do not offer. |
What happens if you skip it
If you skip this, tone comes only from Brand profile. Add do's and don'ts before you turn auto-approve on.
